November 9 this year marks the 34th National Fire Safety Day, with the theme of the National Fire Safety Promotion Month being "Fire Safety for All, Life Above All – Safe Use of Fire and Electricity". To fully enhance employees’ workplace safety awareness and emergency response capabilities, Jiangsu Sakeside Co., Ltd. solemnly held the Q4 Workplace Safety Meeting & Special Fire Safety Month Training on November 28. Through three core sessions – a special workplace safety meeting, a practical fire evacuation drill, and hands-on fire extinguisher operation training – the company ensured workplace safety for the year-end period.

At the special workplace safety meeting, relevant responsible persons first delivered a comprehensive summary of workplace safety efforts in the first three quarters and detailed arrangements for key safety tasks in Q4. The meeting emphasized that all employees must remain vigilant about safety at all times, strictly follow operating procedures, and eliminate reckless disregard for risks.

During the event, the company invited a professional safety instructor to systematically teach fire prevention, emergency response, and fire extinguisher operation knowledge. Combining real-life cases, the instructor analyzed fire causes and consequences, further reinforcing employees’ safety awareness. This session effectively popularized fire safety knowledge and tangibly improved staff’s emergency handling capabilities and risk prevention awareness.

Immediately after the special meeting, the company organized a realistic fire evacuation drill. Simulating a sudden fire in the factory area, the drill kicked off with an alarm. Guided by safety officers, employees from all departments quickly and orderly evacuated to designated safe zones via predetermined routes.

The entire drill was intense yet well-organized. Employees responded promptly and collaborated seamlessly, completing full evacuation in just 1 minute. Post-drill, the safety instructor conducted a review, highlighting existing issues and improvement directions to ensure more efficient and safe responses to real emergencies.

In the fire extinguisher operation training session, the safety instructor provided on-site explanations and demonstrations. Key content included the working principles, application scenarios, and operational essentials of common fire-fighting equipment (such as dry powder fire extinguishers and carbon dioxide fire extinguishers), with a focus on demonstrating the four-step operation method: "Lift, Pull, Aim, Squeeze".

Subsequently, employees took turns practicing fire extinguisher operation in groups. Under the instructor’s guidance, everyone personally operated extinguishers to put out simulated fires, truly mastering initial fire suppression skills. Many employees commented that this "theory + hands-on" training approach was highly effective, boosting their confidence and competence in handling potential fires.

This Q4 Workplace Safety Meeting & Special Fire Safety Month Training not only tested the company’s emergency response mechanism but also substantially strengthened employees’ safety prevention awareness and self-rescue/mutual-rescue capabilities. In the closing speech, the company’s responsible person emphasized: "Safety is no trivial matter; prevention is better than cure.
